Perinatal and Parent Coaching

Thoughtful Support for Pregnancy, Postpartum, and the Transition Into Parenthood

Pregnancy and early parenthood are not only practical transitions but also deeply personal ones. Many women find themselves navigating unexpected emotional shifts, changes in identity, and new dynamics within relationships and family life.

Perinatal coaching offers a space to slow down, reflect, and move through this season with greater clarity and intention.

What Coaching Is

Coaching is a collaborative, forward-focused process designed to support you as you prepare for or adjust to life as a parent. Rather than providing mental health treatment, coaching focuses on guidance, reflection, and practical support during a major life transition.

Sessions are virtual and available nationwide.

Who This Work Supports

Perinatal coaching is often helpful for individuals and couples who want dedicated support while preparing for parenthood, adjusting to postpartum life, or navigating the evolving experience of becoming a mother. Some clients arrive feeling overwhelmed or uncertain; others simply want a thoughtful space to process change and make intentional decisions as their lives expand.

You do not need to struggle to benefit from coaching. Many clients seek support because this period matters deeply to them.

Areas of Focus

Our conversations may center on emotional preparation for parenthood, identity changes in motherhood, relationship transitions, the mental load of parenting, career and family balance, or building sustainable systems of support. Rather than offering prescriptive parenting advice, coaching creates space for understanding your experience and finding approaches aligned with your values.

Coaching for Couples

The transition to parenthood often reshapes relationships in ways couples do not anticipate. Coaching offers a structured space to strengthen communication, navigate changing roles, and maintain connection during demanding seasons of family life.

Therapy and Coaching

I offer both psychotherapy and coaching, which serve different purposes. Therapy is mental health treatment available only to clients located in Washington State. Coaching is a non-clinical service available nationwide that focuses on guidance and developmental support rather than diagnosis or treatment.

My Approach

My work is informed by psychodynamic and relational perspectives, meaning we attend not only to practical challenges but also to the deeper emotional experience of becoming a parent.

This work is not about achieving perfection in parenting. It is about understanding yourself more fully as you move into a new phase of life.
